How To Repair The Paper Feeder On A Brother Printer

Brother printer, like all printers, need regular maintenance to function properly. Maintenance depends on how often the machine is used, the number of pages that are regularly printed, etc.

If you notice that your Brother printer is having trouble pulling the paper from the feeder, the problem is likely due to a dirty pickup roller, separator roller, or both.

These rollers will get dirty over time from paper dust and other debris in the air. Turn off your Brother printer and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Remove the paper tray from the printer. Look inside the machine where the paper tray was. You will see the separation roller and the pickup roller.

Check the surface of the rollers to see if they are dirty. Clean the rollers with a microfiber cloth slightly dampened with water. Let the rollers dry. Do not use cleaning solutions or isopropyl alcohol on the rollers.

Reassemble the printer and plug the power cord into the outlet. Turn on the printer and use it normally. Tips for aligning a printer a misalignment of your printer can give you big headaches. First, it makes you look unprofessional and unkempt; second, it can often be difficult to fix.

When printers work well, we take them for granted, and when they don’t, we wonder why we buy them. Aligning a printer is not necessarily torture. By following a few basic tips, you can troubleshoot your printer and align it to function properly.

Cartridges when you have an alignment problem, often the first step is to check the printer cartridges. If they are not installed correctly in your machine, this can cause smudged and blurry prints. Try removing the cartridges and reinstalling them.

Use the installation CD If the cartridge looks good, look at the original manufacturer’s CD-ROM that came with the printer. Many printers include an alignment application on the CD, which allows you to get easy instructions. Use the control panel most modern printers have an alignment function built into the printer itself.

Use your printer’s control panel, look at the Preferences, and see if there is an alignment feature. If so, select it and place a white sheet for the test print. Cartridge cleaning sometimes dirty or jammed cartridges can cause printers to become misaligned.

If your printer has a control panel, go to the Preferences, as indicated in the previous step and see if there is a cleaning option. In this case, run the app and see if this helps the alignment. Cartridge replacement if all the above steps failed, try replacing the ink cartridges.

Those that are low on ink get stuck and can’t release the ink, causing problems that misalign your printer. This should be the last option, as replacing cartridges can be expensive.
